South Korean group SS501 member Park JungMin last friday arrived in Singapore to promote his solo EP 'Not Alone', showing his friendliness, in yesterday fan meeting he lift up fans, feed fans eating cake, cuddling fan from back, seemed to fulfill all requests, making fans screaming non stop. Lucky fans who were selected to go on stage were caused to have fluttering heart beats and burst with joy!
In the fan meeting, Park JungMin sang 4 songs, among them were LeeHom Wang's 'Forever Love'. Other than diligently practicing chinese song, he who had been actively learning mandarin, also tried to use mandarin to answer question throughout the event, kept saying 'I miss you', 'You all are my girl friends', 'You all are very cute', 'I will come back again' and other 'sweet and honey words', making fans very happy.
Other than frequently charming the fans under stage, Park JungMin even generously gave his hug to fans who went on stage to play game, other than enjoying the happiness of his bear hug, one of the fans was even lifted up by Park JungMin, causing the fans under stage to go crazy, and were very envious.
Park JungMin is not reserved like most Korean stars, when playing games he would even tease his fans, pretend to be angry with fans who were slower in action and said: "Faster! Faster!" Making the fans to laugh. Park JungMin arrived in Singapore on the day before yesterday (17th), for the promotion of his first solo album 'Not Alone', yesterday in the press conference he kept playing cute, making media reporters and fans at the event venue to laugh, and mentioning that he wished to be hug!
Last year, South Korea popular male group SS501 after announcing to 'go solo but not disband', each member has signed contract with different management agencies. Member Park JungMin striked while the iron's hot, became the first to release his solo album 'Not Alone'.
In the press conference, when mentioning about 'Not Alone' MV, MC LiYi said that the chereography of the song has the feel of a musical and is very cool.
Park JungMin first expressed his thanks, then said: "It is not wrong to have that kind of feel, some of the chereographer actually has participated in musical performance, a few of my dancer are also musical artist."
Actually when Park JungMin was in South Koream, he had participated in the Korean version of musical 'Grease', and even won the Best New Comer award for this musical.
Idol singer progressing on to a multi direction artist
3 of the song lyrics in the album were all written by Park JungMin. When asked about where did his inspiration came from, Park JungMin laugh and said: "If want to say where did the inspiration came from, it is very difficult to say. After listening to the lyrics, then I started to imagine."
Park JungMin said, currently he is in a changing stage from a singer to a music artist, but the ambitious him actually wanted to move toward multi direction. He wishes everyone will anticipate his transformation, and giving him support.
First time doing solo promotion, there's actually some pressure. However Park JungMin said, he actually don't put in in mind, because he is a person that is very adaptable.
Wishes to do a part for Japanese victims
After the earthquake happened in Japan, stars at various countries has rendered their donation and help, Kim HyunJoong who is from his same group has also donated 100 million won (about S$110,000) previously.
Reporters were curious, has Park JungMin made any plan to join any disaster relief operation?
Park JungMin expressed: "Already had some plans, but currently has not confirmed yet. I am considering how to help the victim most effectively, because there are a lot of Japan fans that supported me."
In the recent years, when SS501 having activities in Japan, they had very high popularity, their sale had achieved pretty good result in the local sales charts, therefore, Park JungMin thinks that he should make some contribution for Japan.
Not sexy anymore, wishes to be treasured
Park JungMin arrived in Singapore at the 17th night, around hundred over fans welcome him in the airport. In the short few minutes he walked out from the airport, he was smiling all the time, never stop waving and greeting his fans.
When asked about his feelings during that time, he used simple mandarin and said: "热情! (Passionate!)"
Following that, Park JungMin said, Singapore fans made his felt very welcome and at home.
During SS501 period, Park JungMin has a nickname "Sexy Charisma". In the past 5 years, when introduced himself, he would not forget to mention it.
When asked whether if he remained sexy, Park JungMin said: "Sexy is only in the external, I wish to be viewed as a warm person, wished to be treasured, to be huged."

14 Feb, a snowy white Valentine's Day, Park Jung Min had his Valentine's Special "Not Alone" fanmeeting which was held at Tokyo CC Lemon. He sang the korean version of "Not Alone" as the opening song, with his dashing expression, even till the last musical note, Park Jung Min gave an opening greeting with a smile.
Firstly, [my motto is to try my best in everything I do] as an opening, [I want to be the No.1 person whom people want to hug most] after which followed by the introduction of his band which he said [wish to be a pillow "Jap Name"], [Jungmin's favourite person "Jap Name]. He continued on with [After working with me, becoming more and more like me "Jap Name" (laugh)], followed by a series of unexpected introduction for the rest of the band members which brought lots of laughter, making the audience anticipating for the rest of the event program.
Have a fantastic rapport with the MC Furuya Tadashi. The day before at the Kobe fanmeeting, Jungmin quipped [Kobe is just like Kobe beef, tender and delicious], he continued to ask [Are there anyone who attended the Kobe fanmeeting here too?] As expected, there were no response. Thus the MC said [I will ask again] and secretly told the audience [must answer (YES) ok?] after which half of the audience put up their hands, making a classic atmosphere. Jungmin exclaimed [Hey, this is simply a lie, right?]
In addition, his solo hit "Not Alone" is the No.1 best selling album on YES24 music chart, at Taiwan he has also gotten No. 1 among all the music charts. Due to this the MC describe [Surpassed DBSK and Yamashita for the No.1 placing. An amazing feat!] but Jung Min replied smilingly [Please don't say that, I don't wish to become enemies with them.] With his eyes sparkling, can see that he couldn't contain his happiness. In order to learn Chinese for his Taiwan activities [我想你(I miss you), means I miss you]. Someone from the audience shouted [加油(Hwaiting)], which Jung Min replied [不行(Cannot), 你好吵(You are very noisy)~] Everyone burst out laughing, even the MC said [He even dared to scold audience, no wonder Jung Min is a person who will make people very happy] making everyone laughed without stopping.
Due to Valentine's Day [I have prepared songs that are similiar to my moods] and he sang "I Love You" by Ozaki Yutaka. With fluency in Japanese, Jung Min sang the song without any difficulties with lyrics deeply imprinted in his heart. When he was singing the song "Love Love Love" by Dreams Come True, [Let's shout Love Love Love together] making as a sing-along session for everyone.
As by default for all fanmeeting events, they played lots of games. For this Valentine's Day event, Jung Min specially prepared 2 performances "Valentine Kiss" by Corridor Running team and hoobae Kara's "Mister". Together with the dancers, when dancing to "Valentine Kisses" the dance looks pretty cute whereas for "Mister" butt dance, Jung Min's charismatic performace surpass Kara.
Lastly, when talking about lyrics composing [To complete good music, I spent a lot of time and money] and he tried his very best to sing the 3 songs from his solo album which lasted around 1 hour for the whole performance. But the fans wanted to listen more which Jung Min replied [Not now. For this album, I do not have any more songs to sing (laugh)]. Coming on stage to bid farewell to the audience [Thank you everyone for giving me such wonderful beautiful memories, I am very happy today] after which he left for backstage.
The live playing of the band, singing voice still ringing by the ear, cool dance, an event with never-ending laughter, this is totally a full marks stage by Park Jung Min. An ab501utely unforgettable experience for all!
